The China Automobile Standards Internationalization Center (Geneva), or CASIC Geneva, is the first overseas organization dedicated to automotive standardization established by China's automotive industry. Jointly initiated by Chinese automotive industry organizations and relevant stakeholders, CASIC Geneva was registered as a non-profit organization in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2020. Guided by the principles of "Openness, Cooperation, Integration and Contribution," CASIC Geneva is committed to actively engaging in the development and harmonization of international automotive standards and regulations within the frameworks of the United Nations, ISO, IEC, ITU, WTO and other international organizations. It serves as a bridge for cooperation among international organizations, government institutions and relevant industries. CASIC Geneva operates under the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, shared benefits and common development, with a governance structure established in accordance with its Articles of Association. Its organizational bodies include the General Assembly, Members' Council, Executive Committee, Geneva-based Secretariat and Technical Working Groups. Bringing together a diverse network of members, observers and cooperation partners, CASIC Geneva engages experts from China and around the world in the internationalization of automotive standards and regulations. Through these efforts, it seeks to contribute Chinese expertise to the development of international automotive standards and regulations, promote the globalization and sustainable development of the automotive industry, and deliver broader benefits to society. The China Automobile Standards Internationalization Center (Bangkok), was officially registered in Thailand in August 2025. Serving Southeast Asia, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the center promotes the local adaptation of automotive standards, regional industrial collaboration and the exchange of standardization expertise in key areas such as new energy vehicles (NEVs) and intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs). CASIC Bangkok works in close coordination with CASIC Geneva through a complementary regional approach. While CASIC Geneva focuses on international standards and regulatory coordination, CASIC Bangkok specializes in bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
